Sa Partylist, BH ako!

Sa darating na May 13, muli na naman nating ipakikita ang pagiging isang responsableng Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng pagboto ng mga kandidato at organisasyon na ang tanging layunin ay matapat na maglingkod. Sabi nga sa kanta ni Goc 9, Dapat Tama. Kaya ako, sinigurado ko na sa Partylist, TAMA ang iboboto ko.

Ang mga Partylist ay pinapayagan ng konstitusyon na magkaroon ng mandato. Sila ay inaasahang maging boses ng mg sektor ng lipunan na nangangailangan ng higit na atensyon mula sa pamahalaan. BH Partylist represents the youth, women and the masses. Truly, it encompasses all! The partylist live up to its promise - Empowering Lives.

In it's three years in the Congress, the Partylist was able to conduct projects for the youth - through its innovative Computer-on-Wheels Program, wherein everyone is given a FREE Computer Training Course and reached even the far places in the country; almost 200,000 availed the program and the number is still going up. Other training program include Finishing Course for Call Center Agents, Massage Therapy, FBS (Barista) Training and many more. About 90,000 women were given Free Skills Training - courses that will equip them with the necessary skills that will develop and empower their being.

BH Partylist is represented in the Congress by Congresswoman Berndatte Herrera-Dy, whose leadership ability is exemplary. She is an epitome of a modern woman - a leader, follower and a mother rolled into one. She first entered the politics at an early age; and because of her youthful vibes together with outstanding leadership skills - she easily won a seat in Quezon City's 1st District and left with a 9-year track record full of useful activities and programs that were enjoyed by her constituents.

From her humble beginnings, Cong. BH (as she is fondly called) started to envision on ways to help other people, especially the women, underprivileged and the youth. In 2003, she started forming a Non-Government Organization (NGO) which is called Bagong Henerasyon Foundation. The organization grew up because of its continued principle to help. It was awarded by the World Bank in 2005 because of its pilot project Computer-on-Wheels which aims to bring technology to all. Now, because of its great impact and success, several politician-leaders adopted the project.

After serving three consecutive terms in Quezon City Council, BH dreamed bigger because she wants to help more people in a larger scale. Armed with this dream and prayer, Bagong Henerasyon Partylist won a seat in Congress last May 2010 Elections. With its battle cry, Partylist ng Kabataan, Kababaihan at Sambayanan (Partylist of the Youth, Women and Citizen), the partylist continued its program, now bigger and larger in scope.

Dahil sa mga dahilang ito, sigurado ako. Sa Mayo 13, Numero 13 ako, BAGONG HENERASYON (BH) PARTYLIST. Kung ikaw ay naniniwala na ang kaunlaran ay makakamit kapag ang sambayanan ay pinagyabong sa kaalaman, BH Partylist. Kung ikaw ay isang Kabataang maka-Bagong Henerasyon, hindi mo hahayaan ang iyong sarili na maging iresponsable sa pagboto. Kung ikaw ay isang Kababaihang maka-Bagong Henerasyon, alam mo na marami kang magagawa upang mapagbuti mo ang iyong sarili sa pamamagitan ng paglahok sa mga proyektong ikauunlad mo.

Nagsimula ang BAGONG HENERASYON bilang isang NGO noong 2001, at naging Foundation noong 2003. Mula sa hanay ng kababaihan at kabataan ang mga pinuno nito, at sa taglay na kagustuhang makatulong sa kanilang sektor at sa mga maralita, madaling nabuo ang
BAGONG HENERASYON. Mula sa mga batayang ito at inspirasyon hinango ang pangalang BAGONG HENERASYON – henerasyong binubuo ng mahigit kalahati ng populasyong Pilipino; henerasyong may responsibilidad sa pagkalinga ng lipunan at pamahalaan; henerasyon kung saan nakasalalay ang pag-asa at kinabukasan ng bayan.

Mula noon, malayo na ang narating ng BAGONG HENERASYON. Sa ngayon, nasa halos 200,000 na ang mga indibidwal na direktang natulungan ng BAGONG HENERASYON sa pamamagitan ng iba’t-ibang proyekto, programa, at inisyatiba nito.

BAGONG HENERASYON. Bagito man sa larangan ng halalan, beterano naman sa
paglilingkod sa mamayanan ang BAGONG HENERASYON.

Bisyon at Misyon

Pangarap ng BAGONG HENERASYON ang sambayanang malusog, may kaalaman, masagana, at may angking lakas. Isang lipunang mabilis na sumusulong para sa kaunlaran, kasabay ng kalusugan, edukasyon, kabuhayan, at pagpapalakas ng mamamayan.

Ang misyon ng BAGONG HENERASYON ay ang manguna sa pakikibaka sa lahat ng uri ng sakit at karamdaman, kamangmangan, kahirapan, at pagkawatak-watak o pagkakanya-kanya ng mamamayan.

Ang mga programang ito ay ipararating sa anyo ng mga “Home-based Entrepreneurial Activities” para sa mga maybahay, retirado, out-of-school youth, at iba pa. Mabigyan ng tamang skills and kabataan, kababaihan, at mamamayan para sila'y magkatrabaho.

Itaguyod, paunlarin, at hikayatin ang kababaihan at kabataan sa pagpapaunlad ng bayan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalakas at paghimok sa kanila na makilahok sa mga isyu sa komunidad partikular sa Kalusugan, Edukasyon, Kabuhayan, at Paninirahan; na sang-ayon sa mga proyekto ng lokal na pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng pagsasabatas nito sa Kongreso.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Dahil sa mga ilang pagkasira ng ating kapaligiran dulot ng kalamidad at maling pamamaraan o kakulangan ng pag-aaruga sa kalikasan, naglunsad ang BH Partylist na nagtatguyod ng pagmamahal sa kapaligiran katulad ng Sinup Bulasi na naglalayon na mabawasan ang basura. Ang maunlad at malusog na pamayanan ay dulot ng magandang kapaligiran.

Just my two cents worth!

It's been months after I posted here on my blog. I think i'm quite busy doing other stuff, not to mention that I am anxious on things that I need not to.

Well, since most of my housemates (?) are already dozing off, I finally had a time again visiting this site. The writer in me (there is?) pushes me to visit this experimental blog of mind and do some things. Sharing my thoughts exactly and raw as I am feeling it right now. I don't care if nobody will read, but one thing is for sure, someone will read, and that is me.

Early this January, the family encountered a challenge. We did not let it to ruin our lives. Instead, we work as one and put our faith in God. We overcome it. We Won!

This February, (Valentine's Day to be exact) I need to see a Doctor because I experienced severe stomach cramps and my throat was strained. This event taught me one lesson, to put my health on top of my priority list. Same thing with my family, I always pray for our safety, away from diseases and to have a peace of mind. With God, we are all safe and secure. That is for sure.

Now that the 3rd month of the year comes, I am looking forward for it it to be fruitful, blessed and happy. As always. We are asking the Lord to enter our homes and be at its center. Him to enter our hearts, minds and souls, for us to be able to do things that we need to do; the right ones to do - and to glorify HIM forever.

This is my first entry in 2013, and I think that it is just and right for me to shout what He had showered on us - blessings that we deserve. Let us always honor and glorify His name, for if without His will, we are NOTHING. No questions at all.
